The strategy trap ambitious companies fall into.
By Daniel Reed

Many companies invest heavily in strategy work and end up with a beautiful document that changes very little.
The trap isn’t bad thinking. It’s the gap between thinking and doing.
Turn insight into decisions.
A useful strategy names the decisions it changes: where to invest, what to stop, who owns what. If it doesn’t, it isn’t finished.
Build the bridge to action.
Pair every priority with an owner, a first step, and a way to measure progress. That’s where strategy starts to create value.
Final Thought
Strategy only matters when it changes what happens next.
